Information for Authors


You can register for the conference through the UCL booking system by following this link. All the presenting authors must be registered by the 15th of May. Otherwise their contributions may be removed from the conference programme.

Student accommodation may be available in UCL residences. You can check availability and book a room by following this link. We strongly recommend that you plan and book your trip in advance. London is very busy during summer.

Important dates

If you are an author, looking to submit an abstract for the conference, these are the dates you should be aware of:

1 November 2017Abstract submission opens
9 March 2018Abstract submission closes
30 April 2018Acceptance notification

15 May 2018

Registration deadline for presenters

19 July 2018Conference starts

Please be advised that no works will be accepted after the deadline, so make sure to prepare your work well in advance.

Conference fees

Students – £55 – Student submissions must be accompanied by proof of student status (Student ID, Enrolment confirmation, etc) and a short letter from their supervisor that confirms the student’s status.

Non-students – £75

Abstract template

One-page abstracts will be accepted for review, these must follow the conference template, abstracts longer than one page will be automatically rejected. A Word version of the template can be downloaded here. Please convert to PDF before submitting the abstract.

Young Researcher Awards

The prizes to be awarded during the conference are the following:

  1. Best simulation work
  2. Best experimental work
  3. Best poster

If you wish your abstract to be considered for the best simulation work or the best experimental work award please tick the appropriate boxes when submitting your abstract.
